Rescue crews in Venezuela are still trying to reach a man who has been trapped under rubble for eight days. According to HBL, hundreds of rescuers are working at the site, but the operation remains difficult and the man has now been stuck for more than a week.

At the same time, authorities have confirmed nearly 2,300 deaths in the earthquakes. Officials say the chances of finding more survivors are very small, even though search efforts are continuing.
