The United States carried out more than 80 strikes on targets in Iran overnight, according to the US military command Centcom. The attacks are being described as a response to Iranian attacks on shipping in the region, adding to an already tense confrontation.

Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reacted on X, saying that Iran will not give in. It is still unclear which targets were hit and how much damage the overnight strikes caused.
