The United States says it has killed Niño Guerrero, the leader of the Tren de Aragua gang, one of the most feared criminal networks in South America, according to Iltalehti. Guerrero’s real name is Héctor Rusthenford Guerrero Flores.

President Donald Trump announced the operation and shared video of it on Truth Social. He said the action was carried out in cooperation with Venezuela, but no further details have been released so far.

The case highlights the continuing security concern surrounding Tren de Aragua in the US and across Latin America. It also raises questions about the scope of the cooperation and what more authorities may disclose later.
