Two drones were seen over a military base in Mechernich, near Bonn, Germany. The German armed forces confirmed the sighting on Thursday evening, but did not comment on where the drones may have come from.

The incident adds to growing concern over drone surveillance and security at sensitive sites in Germany. It comes only days after an explosives-laden drone was discovered at Leipzig Airport.

Authorities have not said whether the two cases are connected. Further details are expected as officials continue to examine the drone sightings and possible security responses.
