Stubb dismisses warnings of a Russian test of NATO
The president says talk that Russia is about to probe NATO’s Article 5 is itself part of Russian hybrid influence. HBL says the warning has also circulated in Sweden.

President Alexander Stubb says there is no reason to treat warnings about Russia soon testing NATO’s Article 5 as a confirmed threat. In his view, the alarm is better understood as part of Russian hybrid operations than as evidence of an imminent move.
According to HBL, the issue has also been discussed in Sweden, but Stubb does not confirm the claim about Moscow’s intentions. The comments underline how security warnings can quickly become part of information warfare, where uncertainty is often the point.
