Vjacheslav “Slava” Shvaidak is developing technology from Denmark that is meant to improve safety for both soldiers and civilians in Ukraine. His startup is part of Europe’s fast-growing defence sector, where demand for new solutions has increased as security concerns have deepened.

Working from exile in the Nordics, Shvaidak’s company is tied directly to the war in Ukraine. According to HBL, the case also reflects how the conflict is reshaping Europe’s technology scene, with defence-related innovation gaining a stronger role among startups.
