Romania shoots down drone that entered its airspace

President Nicușor Dan said an F-16 carried out the strike on Friday around 11 a.m. The drone’s origin has not yet been disclosed.

Romania has shot down a drone that entered its airspace, President Nicușor Dan said on Friday. The interception took place at around 11 a.m. and was carried out by an F-16 fighter jet.

Authorities have not yet said where the drone came from. Its origin remains unclear, and no further details have been released so far.
