A robot bus is now set to begin service between Hervantajärvi and Lintuhytti under remote supervision. The arrangement is described as unique in Finland because the vehicle is monitored from a distance rather than by a person on board.

The route is in the Hervanta area of Tampere, where the trial will test how the bus works in everyday traffic. Svenska Yle reported that the remote-only monitoring sets the project apart and makes it a notable step for automated transport in Finland.
