A tribute compiled by Johanna Almark opened the Finnish Chamber Orchestra’s summer concerts on a high note, HBL reports. The Mårtenson suite was dedicated to Lasse Mårtenson, who set sail on his final voyage ten years ago.
According to HBL, the performance worked as a fitting introduction to the summer series and immediately set the tone for the concerts ahead. By centering the evening on Mårtenson’s music, the orchestra also marked a moment of remembrance.
