Kela is increasing its efforts to recover social assistance payments, according to Yle News. The agency is now pushing more cases forward, even as some of them may not make financial sense.

Yle reports that the expenses of taking a case to court can be higher than the amount Kela is able to recover. That makes the issue not only administrative but also financial, as the agency weighs the value of reclaiming benefits against the cost of pursuing them.
