Helsinki Pride has responded to an online debate that grew after images from last weekend’s Pride march were shared on X. The photos showed, among other things, communist symbols, which has raised questions about what the march represented.

According to Yle, the issue has been amplified especially by political actors sharing the pictures. What is confirmed for now is that the symbols were visible at the march; it remains unclear how they came to be included.
