Finland has extradited a 19-year-old man to the United States after he was detained at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in April. US authorities suspect him of involvement with the Scattered Spider hacking group.

According to Iltalehti, the man holds dual citizenship in the United States and Estonia. The case is part of an international cybercrime investigation that has drawn attention to groups accused of targeting major organisations.

The extradition shows that Finnish authorities have taken part in cross-border cooperation aimed at bringing cybercrime suspects before the courts. At this stage, it has not been disclosed when the US Department of Justice will next handle the case.
