Espoo and Helsinki are planning zero-emission zones where only emission-free vans and trucks would be allowed to drive. According to Yle, the cities want to reduce exhaust emissions in areas where traffic is heavy and air quality is under pressure.

The plans focus especially on delivery traffic in urban areas. No exact timetable or boundary lines have been announced yet, but the preparations show that tighter emission rules are being considered for city transport.
