Manchester City claimed the Manchester derby even after being reduced to 10 men early in the match. Phil Foden’s dismissal changed the balance of the game, but City managed to stay organised and keep Manchester United from finding an equaliser.
According to HBL, Foden kicked Bruno Fernandes in the midsection before receiving a red card, leaving United with a numerical advantage for more than 70 minutes. That did not stop City from taking all three points, as Erling Haaland’s goal proved enough for a 1–0 win.
