The UK Ministry of Defence and the British Army have released a video showing British soldiers taking part in a military exercise in Kainuu. The drill is Saber Strike 26, which is being described as one of the most demanding NATO exercises ever held in the region.

According to Iltalehti, the video follows British troops during the exercise, which took place in May. Kuhmo and Vuosanka are among the locations mentioned in connection with the training area.

The release highlights how visible and extensive NATO training has become in eastern Finland. It also underlines Kainuu’s role as part of the alliance’s exercise landscape.
