Björn Vikström says he is now living out a dream in his job as a professor at Åbo Akademi. According to HBL, he also appreciates that his life is less public than it was before, giving him a calmer everyday routine.

Vikström previously served as a bishop, a role in which he had to wrestle with his own view of church leadership. In academia, the focus has shifted: he can now concentrate on his work without the same level of public scrutiny.
